I hope you enjoyed the Holidays at Elfpony's house. I love making the displays every year because it gives me a chance to "play" with my ponies. It reminds me of the good times I had playing with my ponies as a kid and lets my imagination go.
My roommate is doing a series on Ponies on her blog, go check it out!
Season's Greetings!

Holiday Display 2010: One Hour Before the Party...Epic Version Part 3
Every year for Christmas Morning all the Ponies of Ponyland gather in Dream Valley to celebrate the season together. But before that they all have parties Christmas Eve Day to celebrate just with their families. One hour before the party begins, the Ponies are rushing around getting the last minute preparations done...
Right in the centre of Dream Valley is a huge tree decorated for the holidays. Since all the Ponies of Ponyland will be in Dream Valley Christmas morning, the Here Comes Christmas Candy Cane has been placed atop this tree so Santa will know where to find everyone. All the Ponies stop to admire the tree on their way to the Dream Castle for tonight's big party.
Happy Holidays, Pony fans!

PS:
That is the end of the narrative that goes with this year's Epic Holiday Display, but as usual, I've included some overview shots so you can see how everything's set up. The benefit of having a whole huge room for the Pony Room now is that I can finally set up (nearly) all my playsets. So why wouldn't I use them all in this year's display? Enjoy!

Holiday Display 2010: One Hour Before the Party...Epic Version Part 2
Every year for Christmas Morning all the Ponies of Ponyland gather in Dream Valley to celebrate the season together. But before that they all have parties Christmas Eve Day to celebrate just with their families. One hour before the party begins, the Ponies are rushing around getting the last minute preparations done...
In Friendship Gardens it's a pretty green Christmas this year. But Sky Skimmer has been checking out Dream Valley through the telescope and she's reporting to Snowball and Clever Clover that there'll be snow to play in when they get there tomorrow morning.
Wingsong has stopped by the park to visit some friends and make sure they are having a happy holiday too.
Silver Swirl and Copper Glow are already packing up the gifts to take with them to Dream Valley to open Christmas morning.
Morning Glory has a lot on her hooves trying to get the babies to settle down and have a nap so they can enjoy the party later. Of course they're too excited to sleep, it is Christmas Eve after all.
Over in Dream Valley everyone's excited too! Li'l Tot has had a boisterous Nursery all day. Now that the day is winding down, she's trying to keep some of the babies entertained with holiday stories until their parents get there to pick them up. A few of the more enthusiastic babies have gone off to play though, inside or outside.
Over at the Cabin, the Boys are loading up the sleigh to transport their gifts to the Dream Castle.
At the Show Stable, Lemon Drop and Brandy are the last ones getting ready to head out.
Up Up and Away is just ahead of them, and runs into some friends also on their way to the Nursery to pick up the kids.
The Flutters and Wingers have arrived in Dream Valley for the party now, and are strolling about enjoying the decorations.
Over on the other side of the Valley, Fifi is still busy in the Perm Shoppe trying to convince Heart Throb that her best party look involves blue hair extensions. She might have a better chance is she tried pink. Meanwhile Skydancer is looking for the right accessory to complete her party look and it looks like Blue Belle is doing some last minute shopping.
Meanwhile, at the Pretty Parlour, Peachy had expected to be closed up by now. But there's been so much snow in the last two days that there's a run on Pony galoshes and she's stayed open late to make sure everypony has dry feet.
And in the Bakery the last minute preparations look like organized chaos. Scoops is busy making the last of the gingerbread cookies while Merry Treat loads up the sleigh with the treats that are all ready to go.
Finally, in the Dream Castle, everything is ready for the rush of Ponies that will be arriving soon. The parts of the feast that Merry Treat dropped off earlier are laid out in the hall and Majesty and Spike are admiring the newly-decorated tree and awaiting their friends.

Holiday Display 2010: One Hour Before the Party...Epic Version Part 1
Every year for Christmas Morning all the Ponies of Ponyland gather in Dream Valley to celebrate the season together. But before that they all have parties Christmas Eve Day to celebrate just with their families. One hour before the party begins, the Ponies are rushing around getting the last minute preparations done...
In Ponyville the dance company is running through their last dress reherasal before their performance of The Nutcracker. Blossomforth, the stage director, can't wait to see the crowd's reaction later tonight.
On main street, the shops are starting to close up. Frilly Frocks and Velvet Bow have already closed up the Boutique, and they're waiting for Amberlocks to come out of the Salon. Other Ponies are rushing about having fun and doing some last minute shopping, and Pepperminty is going about making sure everyone has snacks to keep them going.
Blossomforth's shop is still bustling with last minute shoppers. But over at the Cotton Candy Cafe, they've closed down early to do some baking for tonight's party. Cotton Candy has called in some extra staff to help, and they're finally ready to load everything up to take to the castle. And it's about time, Baby Penny Candy is getting impatient to head to the party!
At the Celebration Castle the last of the decorations are just going up. The cooks are looking over the feast preparations with a well-deserved feeling of satisfaction. And the last of the pre-Santa gifts have been laid out under the tree.
Some of the moms took the baby Ponies out to play in the snow to keep them out of the way of the preparations. Now that they're back the babies are excited to see the tree up. Santa will be here soon. And with the preparations winding down, Minty and Kimono are taking a moment to enjoy each other's company.
Meanwhile, over on Butterfly Island, the Pegasi are just getting their tropical Christmas party started. The gifts are laid out under the "Christmas Tree" and everyone's having fun feasting and playing on the beach with family and friends.
In Unicornia Brights Brightly and Whistle Wishes have just finished stringing the lights and Garden Wishes has just finished decorating the tree.
Sweetie Belle has the feast all laid out and Sunrise Song is off to tell everyone that things are ready. And Rarity is at the front door to welcome their guests.
