An alteration: Rainbow Posey

I recently got a Posey with practically no hair and extremely faded symbols.  She has a few random marks on her body as well, but I didn't want to completely bait her, so I opted to make a variant Posey instead.
Rainbow Posey has been rehaired with 7 colours of DH: Dusty Rose, Apricot, Lemonade, Spring Meadow, Arctic Frost, Pacific Ocean, and Mulberry Crush.  Her eyes and symbols were repainted as well.  She's a simple variant, but I think she's got a great look to her.  I hope you like her.

Custom Contest Entry 2016

Another Fair is in the books!  And now that the excitement has finished I'm showing off my Hasbro-inspired contest entry.  I don't think these two need much of an introduction.
Megan is a G1 Megan doll, with brand new clothes (thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster that I don't have to sew my own clothes!  It would not be pretty!).  She's been dressed in her Rescue at Midnight Castle outfit.  Her clothes were all hand sewn (never again!) and her boots are cut down and repainted Barbie boots.
TJ started out as a bait Mirror Mirror.  I chose this pose because she is a more or less mirror image of the original Sundance toy.  She's been fully repainted to match her Rescue at Midnight Castle self and sealed.  Her hair is a blend of DH Buttercream and Virgin Snow.
In RaMC, TJ is shown as having round, white dapples on her rump.  I decided to add a heart-shaped dapple to my custom, as a reminder that, when Macau/Italian Jenny was first "discovered" by collectors, she was thought to have been Megan's pony, TJ.  TJ didn't have a bridle in the movie, but I've made her one that is similar to Sundance's.
Now Megan can have adventures with both of her special ponies!
If you'd like to see my other Fair pictures, you can find them here. I had a great time, as always.  Can't wait for next year!

Still Panicking

The 2016 Fair is almost upon us!  So many questions are still to be answered.  What does the poster look like?  What does the pin look like?  Who will win the contests?
And most importantly (to me), how on earth will I ever get everything ready in time!?!?!?!
Somehow, it always happens.  Or, at least, we get enough of it ready that it looks like we were on top of everything.  *shifty eyes*
I went into the Geek Cave the other night and found more things that should be coming with us this year.  They're just going to have to wait for next year now.  I haven't got time to deal with anything else that's not already on the to-do list.
Somehow it always gets done.  The most important thing once we get in there is, pause, take a deep breath, have fun.
It's gonna be great.
