Happy Halloween - Magic Spell

Happy Halloween!

This is Magic Spell, the custom I created for this year's MLP Arena Halloween Custom Swap.  Also the forth consecutive Halloween Custom Swap that I've done a witch pony.

Her hat, mask, and tail ring were done with Apoxie Clay with jewels added.  The jewel in her symbol was original to her design and the rest of the symbol was hand painted, as were the eyes.  Her hair is a blend of Dollyhair Evil Enchantress, Deadly Nightshade, Hematite, and Venom, and I'm quite fond of this blend.

Wilhelmina - My Little Vampire

First off, let me say that Geek Market was a huge success.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat Ponies.  In the next few weeks I'll be blogging about some of the customs that I had for sale there (those that weren't already featured on the blog.)

Say hello to Wilhelmina.  Watch out - she may bite.
Wil is named after the main female character in Dracula.  She has Apoxie Clay fangs.  Her hair is Black Magic, Glow in the Dark, Hematite, Deadly Nightshade, and Raincloud.  Her handpainted symbols also glow in the dark.

She was quite a challenge as the plastic was harder than usual, causing the needle to pop out of my rehairing tool more than once (every plug, actually.)  Nothing frustrates me more than a difficult rehair.

My Little Cthulhu Two

It's Geek Market this weekend and I'll be at table 34 with a boatload of custom ponies in tow.  I'll be posting the customs in the following weeks so if you can't make it to Geek Market, you can still see everyone.  Let's start things off with My Little Cthulhu, version 2.

The process creating this little monster was much like the original.  I reversed her orientation.  Wings, claws, tentacle-hair, and nose tentacles were all made of Apoxie Clay.  Paint is Reaper Master Series acrylic and she has similar high and lowlights and gold flecks to the original.  The base colour is slightly lighter on this version, and her wings are smaller.

Come to Geek Market and take her home with you!
