T minus 14 Days

Two weeks from today I'll be manning a booth at Geek Market, along with Roomy (assuming she survives her upcoming book deadline) and hopefully selling some Ponies.  I'll be spending much of next weekend rehairing the customs I'll be bringing for sale.

Help! We're bald!
I'll also have several non-custom ponies for sale there.  Possibly in a big bin, possibly better displayed.  I guess we'll see how the organization goes.  At least everyone's still priced from the Fair in July.

Bobbing for Ponies?
Mangas, and some additional 80s cartoon/anime/gamer toys will keep the Ponies company and be up for sale too.
Guess who?
Between the 501st, the Klingons, the vendors, and the general Geekery that will be going on, I think it will be a great day.

Geek Market Teasers

Ottawa Geek Market is in three weeks and I've been busy customizing.  Here is a sneak peek at just a few of the customs that will be finished and for sale on October 14th.

Hope to see you there!

Sometimes it's not the time for customizing

Sometimes, it's just not the time for customizing (even though you've got a big sales oportunity coming up in three weeks.)  Sometimes, you just need a break.

A break from work.

A break from housework.

Even a break from creativity.

Sometimes, you just need to take a rest, let your mind wander, let your body move, and recharge your batteries.

And on those weekends, you don't get much done.  Not even a blog post (until Monday.)

Club Flourish

This fellow was involved in the Epic Customizing Weekend, but I couldn't show him because he was a surprise gift.  A friend of a friend commissioned me for him, and he went from start to finish in literally 4 days.

Club Flourish is an OC.  His face and the hair on his feet have been sculpted with Apoxie Clay.  He has been fully repainted.  His symbols are three juggling clubs.  His hair is Dollyhair Gingerbread with a few strands of Golden Sun added.

He was a birthday gift, so I'm glad he was well received.

Epic customizing weekend

What does an epic customizing weekend look like, you might ask?

This is about the gist of it.  I'm busily trying to get ready for the Geek Market in October by customizing like a mad woman.  You can see a pretty good cross section of my supplies here.  On the far left in the background you can see bags of hair standing up in their container.  On the table proper is the Mod Podge for sealing, the Apoxie Clay (almost hidden) for sculpting, the acetone for removing paint, and the paint, pallet, and brushes.

Here's a bit of a teaser of what to expect at my booth.
A pony with Goth-ish tendencies
Another Goth pony and a Doctor Who themed Pony
A vampire, My Little Cthulhu 2, and someone who's not revealing her identity yet
"Spot" here isn't coming to Geek Market, he's a little project for myself
