Lazy Summer Days

I have very little to say for myself this week, although I do have six customs that I'm actively working on right now, none are ready to share yet.  One is a commission, the others will be for sale at some point in the future.

Finished customs...who's next?
Some point in the future being October 14th, at the Ottawa Geek Market.  I'm looking forward to this event, and Roomy and I will be sharing a table and selling custom Ponies, Books, action figures, and possibly some original artwork.  More on that in the autumn.

Right now I should be down in the Pony Room, doing some clean up and post-Fair organization.  Clearly, I'm not.  I'm feeling lazy today, even too lazy to play with my newest acquisition, the G4 Castle.  (OK, if the Pony Room was clean and I had a space to set up the castle I might not be so lazy about it...)  I haven't had a proper chance to play with my new Fair acquisitions yet, either.  This is a sad state of affairs.  I've really got to get down there and do some tidying...

It's not THIS bad anymore, but really, it's not much better.
Maybe later.

Here comes the Sun

Here's a custom that's appropriate for the summer, don't you think?  Welcome Eos.

She was made of a G4 Fluttershy, and was designed as a monochrome custom, meaning that every colour but the whites of her eyes are a shade of yellow.  Her hair is DH Sunlight, Buttercreme, Golden Sun, Golden Goddess, and Mango Tango.

MLP Fair Wrap Up

I'm back from the 2012 MLP Fair.  As usual, I had a fantastic time!
Pony swag!

Many, many thanks go out to the Fair staff and volunteers.  I know a lot of time and effort has been put into making the Fair what it is.  You people do a great job!

Many thanks also to Roomy, who not only drives me to these events practically every year, but cheerfully accompanies me and spends her whole day watching over my booth while I run around chatting with friends, enjoying the panels, and buying stuff.  You're awesome, Roomy!

I'm also pleased to say that Starscape won 1st place in the Original Custom Category.  I was just floored, and so happy.  Thanks to everyone who voted for her.
This is me being stunned.
If you'd like to see more here's the link to my photobucket album of this year's Fair.  Roomy and I also visited the Kennedy Space Centre while we were in Florida, if you're interested in checking that out.

Can't wait 'til next year!

MLP Fair

Hello, you've reached Elfpony's blog.  I'm currently away, no doubt having a blast at the MLP Fair, but don't worry, I'll be back posting all about it in another week.  In the meantime, please enjoy the following custom, who is my contest entry for the Custom Contest this year: Starscape.

Gads, I hate trying to photograph black ponies!  So much glare!

Starscape has had a full body repaint in a slightly glossy black, with tiny stars all over.  One one side she sports the Horsehead Nebula and a space shuttle (with bay doors open, showing off the Canadarm.)  On the other side she sports the Cat's Eye Nebula, Haley's Comet, and a small meteorite shower.

Her hair is mostly Dollyhair Black Magick, but there are also hints of Bouganvillea, Amethyst, Apricot, Forget Me Not, Starlight, Venom, Fairy's Breath, and Sugarplum.
