We moved!
Well, no, we didn't move, but the Geek Cave did. We've switched it into a larger room! It's exciting!
We made the move over a couple of weekends in February. First, shifting everything between rooms, then actually arranging everything in the new Cave. How would you like a tour?
When you walk in first, on your right, you will see the G1s in their new home. They have slightly more space than in the previous room. Beside them, the G2s occupy the same space they had before (they'll always be the smallest generation in the Cave). At the far end of the room, the G3s have several shelves. The one element of G4 on this side of the room are the Build-A-Bear plush on top of the shelves.
In the middle of the room is Roomy's MOTUC table. We will be adding shelving underneath this for further display space (Roomy has a lot of Bonhommes to display). Roomy's vintage She-Ra collection now has space on one of the shelving units and is looking very shiny.
Continuing down the other side of the room, the rest of the G3s are over here. The G4s are taking up quite a bit of room, further along (dear Hasbro, please stop making awesome giant castles every year). Since we were working on the room move on the same weekend as NY Toy Fair, I've tried to leave space for the next giant castle (no, really, please stop).
Finally, we get to the newest additions to the Cave, the Strawberry Shortcakes. The other plush have moved into shelves in the closet (the rest of which is being used as storage). And in front of the closet is my display table (currently covered in stuff waiting to be organized).
Of course, we're not quite done. As I've said before, a collector's collection room is always a work in progress, and there's always more to do. But we've got room to do it in, now.
I hope you enjoyed the tour.
